Manipulating pictures with blog tools is unfun - please check out my SmugMug site for more/better pictures of our adventure (more than one page now - slideshow available):

Day 5 was a good ride as P-Rock described, showers snuck in mid-afternoon but otherwise nice/fast riding. Add "wide" to the "big" characterizations from yesterday - big sky, lots of wide open farmland, still very flat. Inviting and different.
File this first picture in the "Who's watching the road" category:
First moose were spotted today! Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on proximity to your front wheel) there were dead laying on the side of the road. Man, they are big beasts - bigger than the beasts we're riding.
Gas is getting more sparse the further north we go. I also had my credit card rejected today at a fuel stop - their system did not take "international" Visa cards. Fortunately, I had cash. Interestingly, this was also lunch stop of note mentioned in P-Rock's blog. The towns are getting more interesting:
P-Rock mentioned the GPS sent on a county road early in the day (road is a generous description - note speed limit)
Ran into a Harley rider at lunchtime on his way back from Alaska - keywords in the conversation: COLD, LOTS OF WILDLIFE, INCREDIBLE
On the road just south of Sask. we passed this couple rolling fat -PA plates!
The Blackie oil leak seems to have slowed - will try to stop in Edmonton tomorrow at a BMW Motorad dealer to pick up spare oil - Anchorage is still a long way off...
Off for some Saskatchewan dinner fare...
Blackie out
Just adding to the blog...spoke to Jeff tonight, he said he smelled those dead moose for miles. Hopefully you guys will only see live ones from now on, and not too close up :-)
